As of February 4, 2013, the Royal Canadian Mint will no longer be distributing one-cent piece. It costs 1.6 cents to make a coin that represents 1 cent. While the RCM is melting them down, there are other fun things you can do with those pretty copper coins. Here’s a few ideas.
You can turn them into a piece of art, like the “War Horse” by Rachel Denny.
What are you doing with your pennies? I’m spending mine because, honestly, most of these look like a lot of work!
