On Saturday, after yarn shopping and before the silent vigil, my friend Lisa and I stopped by Greens Vegetarian Restaurant at 638 Dundas Street W in Kensington Market for lunch. This spot used to be another vegetarian restaurant called Full Moon, but I never went. Greens has a different owner and I’ve heard it’s a step up from Full Moon.
For an appetizer, we decided to share the Spring Roll Plate (I think that’s what it was called). It came with two spring rolls, two summer rolls and mango salad, accompanied by three different dipping sauces. It was really yummy.
For my main meal I got the Stir Fried Rice Noodles with Mock Beef. If you are looking for a light, healthy meal, this is not it! Luckily, I was in the mood for greasy Chinese and this dish delivered. I couldn’t even finish it all so I had left overs for breakfast on Sunday.
I’m not really sure what my fortune from my cookie means. I can’t think of any old tasks I need to finish up, but I did start a new task with the yarn I bought!
All in all, I really like Greens. The service was not stellar, but it was acceptable. The food is good and the prices are reasonable. I’ll be back again!
