Oh the Weather Outside is Frightful!

Ok, so we’re halfway through November. I know some parts of Canada already have or had snow, but we’ve been luckier here in Toronto. Love that Lake Effect. Today I wanted to showcase some fabulous winter coats, all vegan! No fur, no leather, no wool.

This is the Ladies Classic Jacket from Hoodlamb, which is what I own and wear. The outer shell is made from hemp and organic cotton and the fake fur inside is made from recycled water bottles! It’s probably one of the most sustainable winter coats you can find and it’s super warm and comes in lots of great colours. I also love Hoodlambs long coat. Super cute.

I simply adore the Belden coat by Vaute Couture. This colour is no longer available, but I love the style. Vaute Couture also uses recycled materials in their coats and while I don’t own one, I have heard they’re very warm too. Warm enough for Canadian winters! Leanne Mai-Ly Hilgart is currently crossing North America doing pop-up shops and in December she’ll be here to Toronto! On December 7th, Fur Defenders is holding a Fur Never Party and there will be a Vaute Couture fashion show plus some coats for sale. I’m really excited for this party. If you want to come, you can get tickets on the Fur Defenders website.

If you’re a little more active and outside a lot in the winter, Lolë has some great winter jackets. I love the Zoa in red.

This is the Ivy League Reunion Coat by Pink Martini, found on ModCloth.com. Isn’t it pretty? I love the black and orange plus the inside has a lovely foral pattern. It was nice to find out that Pink Martini is a local Toronto company. It probably isn’t the best for super cold snowy weather, but it’s a nice coat to wear when you’re dressed up a bit for a dinner out or maybe the ballet. Or just bundle and layer!
