A weekend full of family fun!
Saturday morning I woke up bright and early (bright and early for me on a Saturday at least) and made my way to Union Station to catch the 9am train to St. Catharines. I had a Kindle (reading Children of Dune) and a falafel wrap so I was good to go!
Before going to meet everything I sort of made my aunt wait outside Rise Above Bakery until they opened.
Later that day we hung out at my cousin’s in-laws lakehouse in Niagara-on-the-Lake for a BBQ and some games like ladderball and bocce ball. The Thompsons won because a member of the Pawson team left to go pet the neighbour’s dog, technically forfeiting the game.
Sunday we went from breakfast (I had toast, hashbrowns and a bowl of fruit. Nothing to write home about. All the fruit tasted the same!) then went to Happy Ralph’s. Not a fan of that place, to say the least, but at least Wyatt was having fun with his mom and aunt.
PEACHES! There were so many peach farms. Not going to incriminate anyone, but someone from our group MAY have jumped out of the car and taken a fallen peach from the orchard late at night. I paid for these ones though. I’m going to make a pie!
It was a nice and relaxing weekend. How was yours?
