Jack checking out the Christmas tree
Reading: I finished Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close by Jonathan Safran Foer this morning. It didn’t wow me as much as I had hoped. I think I’m starting Cycle of the Werewolf by Stephen King. It’s been a while since I read a King novel.

Watching: Looking forward to the mid-season finale of The Walking Dead tonight, although I hate that they split it up and now we’ll have to wait until, what? February? Also there’s a new Dexter episode. My c-worker and I are speculating how they’re going to end the series. Dexter dies? Dexter goes to jail? Dexter escaped capture and disappears into the Amazon? Next season is suppose the last for Dexter. Boo-urns. I also got the first season of Downton Abbey to watch because I’ve been hearing so much about it.

Thinking About: Christmas presents. My brother and I have set a $35 limit this year. I already have a few gifts for his wife-to-be (because women are much easier to buy for than men, in my opinion) and I think I’m going to do a little DIY present for my bro. Mom’s taken care of and we’re going to get Chad’s mom’s gift today so we can send her’s and his dad’s out soon.

Anticipating: I’m hosting a vegan, gluten-free holiday cookie exchange and knitting get-together on Tuesday. We’re going to get the cookie supplies today and I’m baking Sugar Plum Faerie Cookies tonight and then we must CLEAN ALL THE THINGS. At least now we have enough seating for everyone.

Consuming: Too much Noel Nog. It’s just so good! And there isn’t even any rum in it!

Wishing: That the department holiday lunch was at a different restaurant. One that actually has vegan options. It looks like I have a choice between lettuce, french fries or a plain baked potato. Oh boy.

The idea for this post came from Sometimes Sweet blog.
